Steaks to die for! We tried this restaurant for the first time in August 2006 - wow. The best steaks we have ever had. We would go back in a heartbeat. The ambiance of the restaurant is of a higher standard than we usually go to with two young children, but we had hear so many good things about it, we decided to try it. Pricey, but worth it. (A tip if you do have children with you - bring along books, toys, crayons etc to help keep them entertained).

Key W. Kools has great food, steaks, chops, chicken, etc. There is something for everyone. The tables have paper toppers that we all love to draw on, but that doesn't detract from the quality of the food or the atmosphere; both of which are top rate.

Houlihan's on 192 east - we and our friends really enjoyed their food and the service was good. Not the typical menu but plenty for all tastes- for example pot roast, potato soup both very good and worth trying as well as the usual American style food. Very near to Emerald Island and guests are invited to 'call ahead' for a table to beat the queues. Children are welcome. There is also a sports bar with tv screens and an outdoor tiki hut bar for cocktails so you can just pop in for drinks. Food is also served at the bar if the restaurant is busy.

Well worth the drive. We have eaten there many times and never had a bad meal. Angie & Manny are the owners, very nice people. There is a happy hour from 4-7.

Kids welcome, food value for money, severs very friendly (ask for Cathy).Best steak is the Mannys sirloin for $10.99. They have a big Salad Bowl. Just a good place to eat. Worth the 30 min drive from Emerald Island!!!

We were fortunate to visit this fabulous restaurant located at the Grand Floridian on our last visit in August 2006. This really is probably the dining experience of a lifetime and certainly if it’s a special occasion you won’t fail to impress your other half. You are really made to feel special and one can only imagine this is how celebrities must be treated on a daily basis. We were shown to our table by the maitre’ d and introduced to our servers(yes plural) who would take care of us for the evening . Our server Annette would look after us all(4) with our other server taking care of clearing away and other tasks. We were presented with our personalised menus, named, dated etc and our Amuse Bouche arrived tout sweet. This is a pre starter while you choose your dishes from the menu.

Scanning thru the 7 courses proved a difficult task as everything sounded so nice, we were all a little undecided but with Annette's patient assistance and explanation where needed, we all finally chose.The menu is fixed price at $100 per head and we decided on the accompanying wines at a further $55 per head. To me this is the best option as having studied the wine list its also the cheapest! Boy are some of the wines expensive!

In each category you have the choice of 3 dishes usually the third option being at extra cost. For instance, the opening dishes were Chargrilled Cuttlefish,Long Island Duck or at extra cost Osetra caviar. This is repeated throughout the menu and each dish accompanied by a wine to suit its flavour and texture. I chose the Duck which came with a lovely Pinot Gris from…… Oregon. I must say it was perfect with the duck and a pleasant surprise to find an American white wine I liked.
I have put each recommended wine/beer with each dish.

Next came Poulet rouge with wild mushroom ragout(Perez Cruz), Terez Crab(Chimay ale, made by Belgian monks),Grilled Angus Beef(Cabernet sauvignon), Comte Saint Antoine port, Grand Marnier Souffle, Coffee and that was me …. Stuffed. This was just my choice and the others enjoyed other fantastic dishes such as Kobe beef tenderloin, King salmon, Kurobota Pork tenderloin, Colorado Lamb, Pan roasted foie gras. The service was… extraordinary and the attention is not over the top ,just about spot on. The meals arrive almost “nouvelle cuisine” like and you may feel “theres not a lot “ but be assured you will be satisfied and the quality makes up for the quantity. If you want a 32oz steak go to Charlies.!

We had heard of many stories about the excellence of this 5 star restaurant and to have it proved first hand was wonderful. All I can say is, if you want a night to remember and a million brownie points with the wife(or otherwise) save your dollars and go. Even if its just the once. Fantastic!
